Khans the reason for diminishing Bollywood footfalls and the historic Baahubali success?

The footfalls in theatres for Bollywood movies has been consistently decreasing since the last many years. Distributors, producers, actors and media persons keep on whining about it but little do they inspect what has led to it? Are the "european" cinema responsible for it? Certainly Not. Who watches them anyway? They feature small actors who work under small banners. These are not the movies that define the Bollywood industry and not the work that decides the perception about an industry to an average movie goer.So which are those movies and who are those people responsible for the low footfalls?

People  make judgements about a movie industry from their biggest movie every year. We are talking about general audience here. For them, a film that releases on biggest festival like diwali is perceived as being the best that the industry offers to them. But when you get to see a third rate movie like PRDP/HNY on such day , the attitude of the general audience gets bitter to that industry. Is that the best you can offer on the biggest day with the biggest star? Which sane person will decide to visit a theatre again if he gets to witness torture like dhoom 3 , CE and kick on the big festival weekends? It just makes them bitter about the industry as a whole. That results in diminishing of footfalls every year. It is the big superstars(3 khans)  that are responsible for it, not the smaller films and stars.

This exploitation of audiences by hijacking festival weekend to sell crap , had to get exposed some day. Baahubali came and did exactly that. A dubbed telugu film has done more than any hindi film released on festival weekend clearly exposing the fact that audiences did not come to theatres based on merit of the hindi movies but because they had to kill time in weekends and get a bitter experience almost every single time. Each time a Khan superstar releases his shit films in festival weekends, 1% footfall goes down for the next year.
