Q. Are films like Airlift, Neerja and Kapoor & Sons duds as they didnt get good trps and can we call Bodyguard a masterpiece based on trp?.
Ans. Its a stupid line of thought to begin with on so many levels. Firstly TV doesnt generate the kind of revenue it used to. Secondly, who watches tv these days beyond a handful of senior citizens? From the school going audience to office going, everyone is into youtube, whatsapp and facebook. Our generation dont swtich tv for movies. we go online. and movies like airlift , neerja and kapoor and sons will always be the favourite there. imdb, youtube, facebook, whatsapp views are evidences. The TRP ratings used to matter in stone age of cinema in 80s and 90s when TV was our only source of entertainment. There are some who are still living in stone age. they have apparently not outgrown from the 90s when families used to switch to tv for "watching movies", that was then. when we didnt have dvd and laptop and most importantly the internet. now we dont need tv and movie channels for us to wait for them to telecast our movies. we can watch our movies whenever we can by going online or through torrent.Anway these things are written for some dimwitted fans which doesnt mean anything in todays world.

Q. What is your expectations from Rustom and MohenjoDaro?
Ans. Ideally the two should not have clashed for both films to optimise their potential. Mohenjodaro doesnt seem to look in the league of swades and lagaan. Rustom might have an upperhand in the long run as the movie is set in modern era compared to MJD and with neeraj pandey associated. At present MJD can do 80 cr while rustom can do 100cr+. Both are economically well placed to recover.
