War 2 opened at 53 cr day one which was the highest opening day of 2025 and the second biggest opener of spy universe franchise. It had the highest weekend and the highest week of 2025. Its all India nett stands at 254 cr nett which is the fourth highest in the spy universe. It's worldwide collection stands at 395-400 cr. Estimated costs are 300-400 cr. This makes it an Average film and success at the box office. There is 250 cr non theatrical revenue which makes it a profitable venture for yrf as they are producers as well as distributors of the film. Total revenue is around 650 cr against budget of 300-400cr.
Dunki opened at 29 cr day one which is far below war 2 and it's lifetime collection is 225 cr all India which falls below war 2. It's worldwide collection are around 470 cr nett . Estimated budget is around 250-300 cr including nominal fees of srk and hirani.
Dunki was made by atbb director hirani who never saw a flop in his career. Srk was coming off corporate hits pathan and jawan. But the content and stardom of srk flopped and it neither opened near war 2 nor its lifetime is anywhere close to war 2 in all India. Total worldwide 470 cr. Non theatrical sold for 155 cr. Total revenue 625 cr.
Though it's worldwide numbers are higher than war 2 it's overall revenue including theatrical and non theatrical is less than war 2. Hence dunki is a flop compared to war 2.

Atleast 100 cr was expected from telugu circuit but just like flop ayan Mukerji and yrf, you managed to piggy back on Hrithik Roshan. War 2 was a pan India film which is why jr ntr was casted as a parallel lead . Hence the all India nett collection has to be considered .
Q. Should Hrithik do krrish 4 first or HRITHIKxHOMBALE?

If you see the history of hrithiks box office records, whenever he has a content movie preceding his event movie ,that event movie becomes an industry hit. Lakshya before krrish in 2006, znmd before agneepath, super 30 before war . There is every chance that hombale movie could be an event-cum-content movie which will be an icing on the cake for krrish 4.
